We're a free sociable running group based in Manchester City Centre

What we're about

Meeting every Wednesday night at the lovely Wharf pub in Castlefield at 6:30pm for a 6:45pm run. There's a 3k, 5k, 7.5k or 10K option along with intervals, with run guides and we head to the pub for a pint and chat afterwards. We also run at weekends and have regular social events. We are all about trying to be inclusive for everyone, aiming to give people the opportunity to get fit with like-minded people and meet new friends whilst doing it. We don’t charge anything to run with us, so just head along and join the fun.

Enter Today
Our Canal 10K race is returning under a new name in tribute to our former member Emma Horrell, with all profits donated to @cardiacriskintheyoung.
Course: 10km fairly flat out-and-back route along Bridgewater canal towpath from Castlefield Basin to Stretford Marina.
Prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd, Male and Female.
Medal and goodie bag for all.
Who was Emma?
Emma was a long-standing member of MRR, who served on the committee for a number of years.
Emma had heart problems but challenged herself as much as she could. She ran to raise money and awareness of Cardiomyopathy,
and was a passionate advocate for CRY.
In the wake of Emma’s passing, the club completed its fundraising for the defibrillator at The Wharf.
